Dr. Gharbawy was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, in a home full of animals, family, and laughter. She attended the University of California, Irvine studying Public Health and Medical Anthropology, as well as Pierce College for additional pre-veterinary training. She left Southern California (unwillingly) to attend Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in Ithaca, NY. While at Cornell, Dr. Gharbawy’s interests peaked in surgery, dentistry, and acupuncture. After graduation in 2014, she raced back to the Southern California area with her Pomeranian, Chip. She became a certified Veterinary Medical Acupuncturist (cVMA) through the Medical Acupuncture for Veterinarian's (MAV) program in order to provide additional options for treatment and pain control for her patients.
In her free time, Dr. Gharbawy enjoys spending time at the beach, as well as movie nights at home with Chip. She loves to read, kayak, and meet new people whenever possible.
